Honoring their commitments and calling

Priscilla recently turned 90, but she teaches in a substance abuse recovery program and ministers each month at a state correctional center.

As a freelance writer for AG News, the online news voice of the Assemblies of God, I’ve recently been honored to talk with several people in their eighties who are continuing to serve, volunteer, preach, and teach. Why? Because God called them to it. This seems to be a common trait among people in their eighties and nineties: They do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do!

Or, how about Priscilla? She conducted weekly Bible study at a prison for many years, just recently cutting back to monthly after mentoring her replacement.
